REPURPOSE GLASS BABY FOOD JARS INTO CANDLE HOLDERS
For Valentine's Day I wanted to make some pretty candle holders for the table. Using two different sized glass baby food jars and lace, I created these pretty and simple candle holders. To begin, gather the following supplies:
- Glass baby food jars with labels removed
- White glue - I used Tacky glue but feel free to use any glue that dries clear
- Brush for painting on the glue
Begin by measuring and cutting the amount of lace needed to go around the glass jar. Cut a little extra so that the ends of the lace overlap.
Brush glue over the entire piece of lace using a brush. Then apply the lace to the jar. I always have difficulty getting all the sticky glue off from the original baby food label so I started the lace in that area in order to cover it.
Continue to wrap the strip of lace around the jar. Slightly overlap the two ends of the lace. For this jar I added two rows of lace. Keep a damp rag handy to wipe off any glue that gets on the edge of the jar. Add variety to the jars by changing the arrangement of the lace.
Use colored candles or votives to add color to the candle holder.
