Below is a glimpse into making some of the TRAASH products
Fusing a plastic bag into a flower hair clip
A variety of different heating techniques are used to transfer an ordinary plastic bag into a piece of durable fabric. Bags range from a thin newspaper delivery bag to a thicker clothing store bag. The final item determines how thick the fabric needs to be and what techniques will be used.
Turning bicycle inner tubes into jewelry
In addition to fused plastic bags, TRAASH also has a line of jewelry made from reclaimed rubber bicycle inner tubes. Tubes are graciously donated from local bicycle shops and must be washed and scrubbed before they can be used. The long rubber tubes are cut into all different shapes and sizes which are crafted into earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
